First Class is Terminal 3 Roasters’ most top tier product line, one tier above Business Class. We’re excited to introduce Gesha from Colombia as our first product in First Class. Gesha is a variety of coffee that is often associated with extremely high cup quality and is known for its delicate sweetness, fruitiness, and floral tones. This high-attitude Colombia Gesha from Finca Juan Martin is one of the most elegant coffees we’ve ever carried. The key tasting notes are elderflower, lime, jasmine tea, and berry. In terms of brewing, we found 90c water works best with pour over using Hario v60-02 to avoid over extraction. We use a coffee to water ratio of 1:15 and complete the pour over using 5 pours. We then proceed to bloom for 40 seconds and the entire extraction should take around 3 minutes. This will really bring up the lime and floral tones that are embedded in this high quality and elegant coffee bean.
