Please note: Pre-ground coffee beans can quickly lose their freshness, resulting in a notable decrease in aroma and flavor. For this reason, we do not offer a grinding service. We strongly encourage our customers to grind their coffee beans just before use for the best experience.

About the bean
The Odakko Project is the result of four years of focused collaboration between Testi Coffees and Cafe Imports — a shared effort to produce a truly distinctive, fully traceable, single-variety lot. Grown at elevations of 2,150–2,300 MASL by 50 smallholders near Yaye and Chericho, only the ripest 74518 cherries made the cut.
Processing took place at the Yaye Washing Station, purpose-built in 2021 for quality and control. Spotless infrastructure, raised drying beds, and rigorous hand-sorting ensured every step reduced defects and enhanced clarity. Clean water, strict cherry selection, and a 28-day slow drying under shade were all non-negotiable — part of a system designed to let this variety’s unique character shine.
After a six-week resting period, the result is a cup that speaks volumes: strikingly clear, with notes of mulberry, bergamot, and jasmine green tea. But Odakko is more than just a showcase of precision processing — it’s also a project with purpose. Premiums from each lot help fund local education initiatives, providing supplies and support for youth in the community. Odakko stands as a testament to what’s possible when innovation in coffee is paired with meaningful impact.
