About the bean

With exceptionally low acidity, this coffee is perfect for those who enjoy a smooth, gentle cup without sharpness. Grown in the highlands of Savane Zombie, Haiti, these beans reflect both the country’s rich coffee heritage and our dedication to excellence.

The Association des Paysans Agricoles de Savane-Zombi (APAS), a small but remarkable cooperative, produces roughly 600 bags per year and compensates its growers up to 300% above Fair Trade minimums - a testament to the outstanding quality of their work rather than an act of charity.

Savour the washed Haitian Arabica Typica, offering elegant notes of dark chocolate, toasted almond, and hojicha - a rich, balanced, and versatile coffee best suited for medium roasts and ideal across espresso, French press, or drip methods.

Each purchase helps support local Haitian farming communities through APPCC in Kolen and APAS in Savane-Zombi, sustaining generations of smallholder producers cultivating coffee in Haiti’s volcanic, nutrient-rich mountain soils.

Influenced by Ethiopian coffee traditions, Haitian farmers craft a cup that is distinctive, refined, and deeply rooted in heritage - a genuine reflection of Haiti’s terroir and spirit.
